why our exposure experience program
We expose them to a extensive world of people, places, and experiences so they develop an understanding of economy and develop key skills that can only be learned from real-world interactions.
A new era is upon us and we have no time to lose. We need to prepare our children to enter this rapidly evolving world by expanding their perspectives.
This will help them develop a keen sense of self, find areas of interest for future work and enhance their connectedness to a greater whole.
Exposure experiences push participants beyond their comfort zones, helping them adapt to new environments, build confidence, and become more comfortable with discomfort.
Through intentionally selected activities, participants face and overcome fears, developing courage, resilience, and a stronger belief in their abilities.
OUR exposure experiences
Camp Timberlake - 2022
Two day stay at a cabin at the Camp Timberlake zip-line course. During this Experience, we explored the themes of purpose and identity as we overcame the challenges of the zip-lining course, challenging our young men to grow both physically and mentally.
Sweetcars & Fort Wayne
Country Club - October 2022
One-day event where the boys got to see luxury cars up close and experience fine dining at the country club. We challenged the boys to develop their dining etiquette and to expose them to luxury items, such as sports cars, that they wouldn’t normally see.
Michigan Ski Trip – February 2023
Two-day trip spent at Bittersweet Ski Resort in Ostego, Michigan, and the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We pushed the boys out of their comfort zone with a new and fun challenge in skiing. We also conducted an EOM session and expanded their knowledge of the world around them.
Muhammad Ali Museum in Louisville – July 2023
A weekend-long trip spent at the Muhammad Ali Museum and at a Louisville Bats game. We exposed them to influential and impactful people in our Black History.
Fort Wayne Courthouse – October 2023
One-day event where the boys got to see luxury cars up close and experience fine dining at the country club. We challenged the boys to develop their dining etiquette and to expose them to luxury items, such as sports cars, that they wouldn’t normally see.
The Color Purple – February 2024
One-night event at the Civic Theater downtown, supporting one of our mentors who was performing in the play. Demonstrating what truly supporting each other looks like to the boys, while exposing them to theater.
Navy Pier Trip in Chicago – April 2024
The boys got to go on a weekend trip to Chicago, experiencing the Chicago Pier and Medieval Times. Showing them one of the largest cities in the world, highlighting the monumental place of the Navy Pier. Enjoyed the unique experience of Medieval Times as well.
Gatlinburg Experience – November 2024
A weekend trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and our biggest experience yet. We explored the nature around Gatlinburg with the different, mountainous terrain that the boys aren’t used to. We conducted EOMs, dined together, and enjoyed the amenities Gatlinburg had to offer. We exposed the boys to a new city and challenged them to mature and get comfortable in unfamiliar situations.
Indianapolis Experience – October 2025
A two-day trip experiencing the Go Ape Zipline Adventure Park and Downtown Indy. We challenged the boys to overcome their fears of heights and encouraged them to grow stronger both physically and mentally. The boys then enjoyed a meal at Weber Grill in Downtown Indy and stayed in an Airbnb overnight.
Detroit Experience – February 2026
A two-day trip spent snowtubing and seeing the Blue Man Group perform at the Fox Theatre. The boys were tasked with tackling the new challenge of snow tubing, making them get comfortable with new experiences. They enjoyed a meal at Fixins Soul Food for breakfast, to try some true soul flavor!
